Celebrate the grand opening of Vienna’s Argentinierstraße, a new bike-friendly milestone

Vienna’s cycling infrastructure just got a major upgrade! After a year of construction, the important North-South connection in the 4th district has been transformed into a green bike street inspired by Dutch design and we are looking forward to unfolding culture there with our VeloStage!

When: Monday 9th December 2024
Where: Sankt-Elisabeth-Platz, 4th District, Vienna

• 10:00: press Appointment on-site
• 14:00: official opening with Stadtrat
• 16:00–17:00: live band performance
• 19:00: event concludes

Throughout the day you will enjoy music from a DJ performing on a unique DJ cargo bike and a special appearance by the Dutch Bicycle Orchestra – Fietsorkest.

• Experience a cyclist-friendly street with 70 new trees, 100 grass beds and 2 fountains for enhanced quality of life.
• Learn about the innovative red bike lane inspired by Dutch examples.
• Enjoy Dutch specialties and take part in the Gazelle Holland Bike Giveaway!
• Celebrate this collaborative effort, which included input from over 10,000 residents, as Vienna continues to prioritise sustainable mobility and green urban living.
